Yes to Local DemocracyNo to an Elected Mayor

12.00.00am GMT Sat 1st Dec 2001

The Bedford Liberal Democrats are supporting the Bedford4Democracy campaign. This campaign has been set-up for one reason - to support the campaign to say NO to an elected Mayor for Bedford.

We feel strongly that an elected mayor in Bedford will centralise too much power in the hands of one person and will weaken our existing democracy in Bedford.

Please visit the website - www.bedford4democracy.org.uk as a source of information and meeting place for those voting NO to a paid, elected mayor in Bedford.

Make sure you add YOUR name to the list of supporters. Your voice and support counts!
