Lib Dems Issue List of Positive Priorities

Hot on the heels of the borough election success the Lib Dems are keen for the Council to push forward with plans to improve Bedford Borough and have issued a list of points which they believe should be the councils prioritise for the forthcoming year.

The list has been sent to all groups on the borough council.

Commenting on the release of the list Lib Dem group leader, Michael Headley, said:

"We want to be very open with everyone and set out our priorities for the forthcoming year. In putting together this list we have listened to what local people said to us in the recent elections. We have issued our proposals to all the groups on the council and I hope they will see that these points make a lot of sense. There is no point the council trying to develop policy by making it up as they go along."

"The council needs to have a clear idea of what it wants to achieve. We will continue to support these priority ideas and I look forward to being able to work with people from all parties to see them achieved."
