Bedford performs well in GCSEs

Last week, students across Bedford received their GCSE results.

Provisional results released by the County Council show 63% of children achieved five or more A* to C grades, compared with 58% last year.

Henry Vann, the Liberal Democrats parliamentary campaigner for Bedford said:

"Well done to all those who got their GCSE results last week. Every student can be proud of their achievements.

"Students across Bedford who have just received their GCSEs are now making the difficult decisions about what A-levels or other courses to take."
